In Settings, enter the endpoint URL, API key and model name. Select the editor content you want to analyze, send it to the configured service and compare the response with the bytes and file structure.

Before changing data
The request contains the editor content you select plus analysis context automatically added by JoHex, such as the current file-analysis task. Check your service configuration before sending data. Treat AI output as assistance and verify interpretations against the source.
Common questions
Which AI settings are required?
You provide the endpoint URL, API key and model name in Settings. The service must support the OpenAI Chat request structure; use values supplied by your provider.
Is the request limited to the selected bytes?
No. JoHex sends the selected editor content and automatically adds task context. For example, it can state that file analysis is in progress and introduce the selected data.
